Monterey Estates North — a curated 50+ lifestyle community just outside Brandon, Manitoba — came to Media Shop Collective seeking a refreshed visual identity, an engaging website, and a consistent social media presence to connect with prospective buyers and their families. We refreshed their logo to reflect modern, vibrant living, designed a website that positions the community as welcoming and active, and developed a social media strategy to highlight community life, events, and available homes.
THE PROJECT:
Monterey Estates North had a strong reputation as a premier 50+ community, but their visual identity, website, and social media didn’t fully reflect the lifestyle, modernity, and sense of community they offer. They wanted a look that communicated “refined living” and “approachability” — something that would appeal to potential homebuyers while showcasing the community’s welcoming and active environment.
Our goal: refresh their brand and create a cohesive digital presence, including a modern, elegant, and inviting website and a consistent social media strategy. Using clean design, updated typography, intuitive navigation, and engaging social content, we highlighted the community’s amenities, homes, lifestyle benefits, and events to connect with prospective buyers and their families.

THE PROCESSLOGO REFRESH
We modernized Monterey Estates North’s logo to feel both familiar and approachable, while giving it a fresh, refined look. The original sunset icon was reimagined as a compass, subtly emphasizing “North” and reinforcing the community’s identity. The stacked primary logo features the repositioned compass for a balanced, elegant composition, while the horizontal secondary logo provides flexibility across applications. “North” is set in a simple serif typeface, offering a timeless feel that honors the original design and allows room for future expansion into South, East, or West.
WEB DESIGN
Our approach for Monterey Estates North’s website was to create a modern, user-focused experience that reflects the community’s vibrant lifestyle while appealing directly to the 50+ audience and their families. We designed a five-page site with a strong landing page to immediately capture interest, a dedicated sales page to showcase available homes, and clear navigation throughout to make exploring the community effortless. Every design decision — from imagery and typography to layout and calls-to-action — was made to balance elegance, approachability, and conversion, ensuring the website not only tells the community’s story but also engages the right audience and drives inquiries and sales.
