ST. ALBERT MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
St. Albert Minor Hockey Association (SAMHA) – which includes the STA and Raiders hockey programs – needed a cohesive digital and visual presence to better serve its athletes, parents, and community. With multiple teams and programs under one umbrella, SAMHA wanted a streamlined way to share information, showcase team pride, and provide families with an easy, intuitive online experience.

Media Shop Collective developed a unified creative approach for STA and Raiders, designing everything from websites to merchandise and promotional materials. By building a strong visual identity and user-friendly tools, we helped SAMHA strengthen its connection with players, families, and fans.

THE PROCESS
GRAPHIC DESIGN
We worked closely with SAMHA to understand the core values of STA and Raiders — teamwork, community, and competitive spirit — and ensured these guided every design decision. Our goal was to create bold, recognizable visuals that differentiated each team while maintaining cohesion across SAMHA. We crafted distinctive designs that incorporated the programs’ brand colours and fonts, while introducing hockey-inspired elements such as stick stripes, ice textures, and dynamic shapes to capture the energy of the sport. In addition to digital and print materials, we also created merchandise, extending the teams’ new look to items fans and players could wear and use. The templates we developed were versatile for both print and digital use, including posters, door wraps, presentations, and social content, enabling staff to produce on-brand materials quickly. Throughout the process, we balanced approachability and family-friendliness with a professional, competitive edge, ensuring the designs resonated with families, young athletes, and the broader hockey community.
DIGITAL BRAND KIT
Our strategic social media campaigns effectively reach Daisy’s target audience, building brand awareness and driving excitement and anticipation for the grand opening. We produced engaging content, including captivating photography and videography, to showcase the vibrant atmosphere and unique experiences offered by Daisy’s.
In just one month, we were able to grow Daisy's Instagram following by 325%. The page also got 420K views and 36K interactions.

WEBSITE DESIGN
We updated the homepages for STA and Raiders with a focus on usability for families. The goal was to make registration straightforward while providing enough information on the homepage to keep visitors engaged. We refreshed the imagery to reflect the teams’ energy and updated footers to be consistent across both sites, with secondary links tailored to each program. By linking between STA, Raiders, and SAMHA, we created a cohesive digital experience that reinforces the connection between all programs while making it easy for families to find the information they need.

THE RESULTS
Media Shop Collective helped SAMHA, STA, and Raiders establish a cohesive, professional, and engaging brand presence across all touchpoints. Families and players now enjoy streamlined, user-friendly websites with clear registration paths and organized information that keeps them engaged. The refreshed imagery and consistent footers reinforce the connection between all programs while maintaining each team’s distinct identity.
Through bold merchandise and promotional materials, STA and Raiders can proudly showcase their programs, while the versatile Canva brand kits give staff the flexibility to create on-brand content at their own pace. Altogether, these updates strengthened SAMHA’s brand consistency, improved communication with families, and created a polished, approachable visual identity that reflects the values of community, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
